We&#8217;re extremely happy to have Oracle as presenter in Percona Live 2013!<\/p>\n<p>You can expect three sessions by Oracle engineers:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a title=\"MySQL 5.6: Performance Benchmarks, Tuning, and Best Practices\" href=\"http:\/\/www.percona.com\/live\/mysql-conference-2013\/sessions\/mysql-56-performance-benchmarks-tuning-and-%E2%80%9Cbest%E2%80%9D-practices\" target=\"_blank\">MySQL 5.6: Performance Benchmarks, Tuning, and Best Practices<\/a> &#8211; Dmitri Kravtchuk<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a title=\"MySQL 5.6: What's New in InnoDB\" href=\"http:\/\/www.percona.com\/live\/mysql-conference-2013\/sessions\/mysql-56-whats-new-innodb\" target=\"_blank\">MySQL 5.6: What\u2019s New in InnoDB<\/a> &#8211; Sunny Bains<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a title=\"MySQL 5.6: Redefining Replication\" href=\"http:\/\/www.percona.com\/live\/mysql-conference-2013\/sessions\/mysql-56-redefining-replication\" target=\"_blank\">MySQL 5.6: Redefining Replication<\/a> &#8211; Lu\u00eds Soares<\/p>\n<p>And Tomas Ulin will present the obligatory &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.percona.com\/live\/mysql-conference-2013\/sessions\/the-state-of-the-dolphin\">State of the Dolphin<\/a>&#8221; keynote.<\/p>\n<p>Skip my part in this conference for the moment; I&#8217;m very happy this is happening. For the community this is an obvious gain. I also wish to congratulate both Oracle and Percona for pulling this off; both parties deserve warm words here.<\/p>\n<p>See <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mysqlperformanceblog.com\/2013\/03\/12\/oracle-technical-experts-at-the-percona-live-mysql-conference-and-expo\/\">announcement here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>BoF<\/h4>\n<p>Birds of a Feather schedule is published. This happens on Tuesday, second day of the conference and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.percona.com\/live\/mysql-conference-2013\/program\/schedule\/sessions-day-1\">first day of conference sessions<\/a>, 6:00pm to 7:00pm. The BoF sessions are reviewed by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.percona.com\/live\/mysql-conference-2013\/conference-committee\">conference committee<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>Lightning Talks<\/h4>\n<p>Lightning talks are very short, rapid talks. We have 9 talks, totaling at about one hour. Giuseppe Maxia is orchestrating the talks. The talks are presented during the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.percona.com\/live\/mysql-conference-2013\/program\/schedule\/sessions-day-2\">Community evening<\/a>, Wednesday, 5:30pm to 8:30pm, where community awards are also presented.
